In Geomnia we have always stood up for a methodology of multidisciplinary approach in projects related to the conservation and enhancement of the Historic and Natural Heritage, a successful formula based on the close collaboration with CSIC’s research groups and universities.

Our experience in conservation covers known figures of the Historic and Natural Spanish Heritage, such as numerous cavities with paleolithic art of northern Spain, such as the  Altamira ( Cantabria) or Tito Bustillo caves (Asturias), important rock shelters with prehistoric art of the andalusian geography, the Roman Necropolis of Carmona (Seville) or the recent participation in programs for the recovery of the historical Royal Roads related to transportation of well appreciated commodities centuries ago, like mercury (Camino Real del Azogue).

This line of work is developed in the framework of an active collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Research Group of the Dept. of Geology of the National Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid (CSIC), the Applied Petrology Research Group at the University of Alicante or the Institute for Natural Resources and Agrobiology Institute of Seville (CSIC).

At present, Geomnia is part of the Network of Science and Technology for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (TechnoHeritage), which started in February 2011 with funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation (complementary action HAR2010-11432-E) to promote the collaboration between the actors of the system science - technology-enterprise to facilitate the proposal of ideas and experiences that help to the resolution of problems and allow the transfer of technology with the common aim to contribute to the conservation of the Cultural Heritage.

The high knowledge of the Geomnia´s team and his collaborators' network in universities and museums allows to develop projects of putting in value of elements of the Historical and Natural Heritage, especially those related  to the fields of petrology, geochemistry and mining industry.
