Geothermal resources

The increasing energetic demand, the major use of renewable energies and the necessary search of the environmental sustainability are facilitating the implantation in Spain of the utilization of geothermal energy, both for the use in systems of air conditioning, district heating or in greenhouses and for the production of electric power (high enthalpy).

Geomnia is involved nowadays in the investigation of Geothermal Resources of medium and high enthalpy in the Iberian Peninsula and is a member of the Technological Spanish Platform of Geothermics (GEOPLAT).

From his foundation in 2008, GEOMNIA has realized the technical assistance in exploration in diverse projects of investigation of geothermal resources, taking part so much in the selection of areas with geothermal interest and the interpretation of available subsoil and surface data for the request of exploration and investigation permits.  Likewise, GEOMNIA has collaborated in the definition of targets by means of the selection of the most suitable geophysical technologies, depending on the type of geothermal reservoir.
